Below are some of the most recent communications that I have received which bear on "the subject." At times I think I am the only one who is really looking for this boy, whoever he may be... Though the anonymous missives I receive from time to time certainy imply that there are others who believe something portentous is afoot. I will add more as it becomes available, though thus far progress is slow. Someone - something? impedes me at every turn. Could it be Wolfen? Pray it is not, for I cannot imagine a worse fate befalling the world of the Powers - or the world of all humankind, for that matter - than the return of that power-mad tyrant.

I've been keeping my ear to the wind, so to speak (LOL at my own joke!), but haven't heard anything about any Messenger. Other than, of course, the usual old myths that no one really even seems to care about any more. Yes, I know you think the Messenger is coming soon, perhaps even the WK, but I just don't see any signs of that.

I hope you're right, you old windbag (BTW, you can't LOL at your own jokes, it's the height of hubris!), I truly do. Because everything that I see points to something terrible in the making.
PS First of all, you know I don't like it when you call us "witches" and "wizards." It's so medieval. And secondly, no, I don't think our use of email is funny. Would you rather we use pigeons?

My father wanted me to tell you that a portion of the Earthtree that bears up the Tower withered last night. Such has never happened before - at least not that we know of - History is, of course, your province. At any rate, he said you would know what this means, if anything. Please advise.

Tell him it's what I've been telling him for years now: we are in the eleventh hour, child. And we must prepare ourselves now, for if we wait to start our preparations until after the Prophecies have already been fulfilled, it will be too late.
Please ask your father most respectfully if he would spread forth his tendrils and look among the Life he watches over to see if any of the flora or fauna have heard of other strange goings-on. Please report them to me, and do thank him for communicating this bit about the Earthree.
