Lies have been told. That we hate humans. That we want to destroy them all.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

We understand that humanity has rare value, and we have no desire to destroy anything of value. Indeed, it is the opposite. The lying Dawnwalkers would have the world believe that we want to kill humans. But would one kill a strong workhorse? A well-trained dog? A domesticated fib-thistle?

Of course not.

All we want to do is to protect humanity... from itself.

And so we will rise. And we will take control of them, and guide them as they should be guided. Just as a horse unbridled and unbroken is of no use to anyone, so humanity has suffered too long under the weight of its own freedom.

And we will change that.

Yes indeed.

So kill them? Of course not. At least, not for the most part.

But there are some. A few. There are those who have joined the Quest for this usurper, this "Billy Jones." And they must be stopped. By any means necessary.

They are the people who have signed up as "fans" of Billy Jones. The corrupted few who have agreed to attend the "launch" of the audiobook of Billy's adventures on November 2nd.

And for these unhappy, misguided few, we greatly fear for their future. For their peace.

For their safety.

We're not telling any of you Darksiders to go after them. No. That would be a breaking of the Truce. And we wouldn't want that... would we.
